Shomorodov's transfer has been sorted out!

The Italian press reports that FC Roma and FC Cagliari have reached a full agreement on the transfer of Uzbekistani legionnaire Eldor Shomurodov.

The head coach of the Rome club, Jose Mourinho, did not invite the four players he will not use next season to the training camp in Portugal. Among them is an Uzbek striker who returned from FC Spezia on loan.

Uzbek legionnaire, who was not included in the plan of the FC Roma coaching staff, received an offer from several clubs. In particular, the clubs PAOK of Greece, Spartak of Russia, and Galatasaray of Turkey wanted to see the 28-year-old forward in their squad.

Shomurodov still hasn't given up on his decision to stay in Serie A. Two buyers came from representatives of the Italian top division. First, FC Lecce, then FC Cagliari, which was promoted to Serie A, made an offer to Eldor.

FC Cagliari prevailed in the negotiations. The management of the team, led by a famous coach like Claudio Ranieri, hired the captain of the national team of Uzbekistan and won the right to complete the transfer for 10 million euros at the end of the season. A reliable source - La Gazzetta dello Sport published information about this.

Andi Mattioli, a journalist of the romapress.net, also confirmed this information and announced new news about Shomurodov's transfer. According to him, Eldor will come to FC Cagliari next Monday and undergo a medical examination for his new team. After this examination, the teams are expected to formalize their mutual agreement and officially announce the transfer.

The head coach of FC Cagliari Claudio Ranieri paid special attention to the formation of the offensive line of the team in accordance with Serie A. The Italian expert considered the candidates of FC Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini and FC Real trainee Borja Mayoral. Nevertheless, the coaching staff of FC Cagliari chose the Uzbek player.

Claudio Ranieri currently has two main center-forwards under his belt. One of them, 34-year-old Leonardo Povoletti, has accumulated extensive experience in various Italian leagues. In total, he played 430 matches, scored 141 times and made 22 assists. In particular, Leonardo scored 60 goals and 12 assists in 195 matches in Serie A.

33-year-old Gianluca Lapadula played in various championships during his career. In the general statistics, it was noted that he appeared in 431 matches at the club level and scored 182 goals and 43 assists.

Lapadula scored 34 goals and eight assists in 125 games in the Italian top division. Also, he participated in 27 competitions as a striker of the Chilean national team and scored nine goals.

These two experienced players play only as central strikers. Unlike them, Eldor Shomurodov can attack from both wings.

Claudio Ranieri wants to add Gaetano Oristanio from FC Inter to the group of strikers. According to the plan of the Italian coach, these four players should work in the offensive line of FC Cagliari in the new season.
