Shomurodov: I had a hard time last season

Eldor Shomurodov moved to FC Cagliari on loan from FC Roma. The club held a ceremony to introduce him and the forward answered some questions from journalists. At the press conference, the player spoke about his relationship with Jose Mourinho and his plans for the next season.

Jose Mourinho taught me to always try to win. I learned a lot from him. He always sets big goals for himself. Mourinho is a person who feels a great responsibility in the teams he coaches.

Last year was very difficult for me. Now I am adapting to my new team. My new friends are helping me with this.

I can work with coaches like Ranieri. I don't need to say much about him. I've seen the results of the specialist. I'm sure he can help me. Claudio asked me how long I trained on vacation. I answered "a little". I want to return to the pitch as soon as possible. I'm looking forward to it.

I feel very good in Italy. At first, I missed my country. Now this place is like my second home, I think that I can show myself in Cagliari like in Genoa."

At the moment, Lapadula, who was expected to play in tandem with Shomurodov, was injured. The striker, who was out of the lineup for almost 3 months, is one of the main players of the team. Last season, he played in 43 matches for FC Cagliari, scoring 26 goals and making 5 assists.

According to Nicola Skira, the Sardinians are currently looking for a replacement for the 33-year-old striker. Among the options is Montsa's Andrea Petagna.
